Very useful partition management functionality is offered by MiniTool Solution via its line of MiniTool Partition Wizard products. If you’re a home user and you’re content with getting limited functionality for the great price of free, then check out the previously reviewed MiniTool Partition Wizard Home. But if you want a bit more from MiniTool Partition Wizard, then it’s worth checking out some of the paid versions: Professional, Server, Enterprise, or Technician. A chart that presents the differences between all these editions is available here.

From here on I would like to focus on MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition. This is a properly good partition manager that is supposed to be used in a business environment. MiniTool Solution was kind enough to grant me a license so I could thoroughly go over this product.

The system requirements for running MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition are: 500MHz processor (1GHZ or more recommended), 256MB of RAM (512MB or more recommended), Windows operating system. It must be mentioned here that all Windows editions from Windows 2000 up to Windows 8 are supported – Windows Server editions are not supported.

Installing MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition is an effortless task. All you have to do is download an installer, run it, and then follow the instructions presented by a setup wizard. When you’re done installing the application on your PC and you run it for the first time, you will be invited to register your version.

The interface is just what you would expect to get from partition manager: all your disks, drives and partitions are presented on the right hand side; a list of actions, operations, and wizards are presented on the left hand side; at the top there’s a traditional File Menu and a toolbar with buttons for various features and functions. If you’ve used partition managers in the past, you will immediately feel at home with MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition. If you haven’t used partition managers in the past, you will very quickly figure out the interface and you won’t have any problems using it to access all the functionality MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition has to offer.

Speaking about functionality, there’s quite a lot you can do with this tool. Here’s a look at the application’s main features: view all your disks, drives, and partitions; wipe disk, delete all partitions; perform a surface test; move, resize, extend, merge, split, delete, format a partition; change a partition’s label and letter; convert NTFS to FAT, FAT to NTFS; set partition as active or as inactive; set partition as primary, set partition as logical; view partition properties; restore partition after it was accidentally deleted; and more.

MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition comes with three wizards:
Copy Partition Wizard – it will help you copy a partition.
Copy Disk wizard – it will help you create a copy of a hard disk.
Partition Recovery Wizard – it will help you recover lost or deleted partitions.

From the application’s Help menu you can access an option to take a screenshot.

Useful functionality to manage disks and partitions is offered by all the editions in the MiniTool Partition Wizard line. If you have a business and you want an edition that was specifically designed for a business environment, you’re well advised to get MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition.

Pros

Modern and even older PCs will easily meet this application’s system requirements. A wizard will help you quickly install MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition on your PC. Speaking about wizards, the application features a Copy Partition, Copy Disk, and Partition Recovery Wizard. The interface is easy to navigate; you won’t have to go through a steep learning curve to get accustomed to the interface. There’s quite a lot you can do with MiniTool Partition Wizard Professional Edition: manage partitions, change labels and letters, set partition as logical, and much more.

Cons

Trial limitations: the trial will not apply pending operations.
